West Ham United are interested in signing Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Sky Sports.

It has been reported that West Ham are in talks with PSG over a deal for Pastore that would be worth up to £17.5 million.

The French giants are claimed to be willing to sell the 28-year-old attacking midfielder, who would be a stunning signing for the Hammers.

Pastore is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world and is a serial winner, having won the Ligue 1 title with PSG as many as five times so far in his career.

The Argentina international may not have played as many matches as he would have liked for the past three or so seasons for PSG, but that is mainly due to massive competition for places and injury issues.

The former Palermo star would arrive at the London Stadium with a strong pedigree, and he would certainly overshadow Dimitri Payet and Marko Arnautovic.

While Payet was a massive success at the Hammers, not many would have expected the French attacking midfielder to make as big an impact as he did.

True, Arnautovic has done well for the London club, but he came from Stoke, not from a club in France who win the league consistently and regularly progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Signing Pastore would be a huge coup for West Ham, and the London club should do whatever they can to get the deal done.
