Javier Hernandez wants more game time at West Ham United… and David Moyes should give him his chnace

West Ham United are set to be without Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini, with opens the path for Javier Hernandez to get game time.

Javier Hernandez’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, has told ESPN that West Ham United need to start playing the striker, otherwise he will look to leave.

Hernandez has fallen out of favour at West Ham recently, with David Moyes favouring partnering Manuel Lanzini with Marko Arnautovic up front.

The Mexican did start and score in West Ham’s last match, but he has been used as a substitute more than he would have liked.

And Hernandez’s agent now claims that the former Manchester United man has asked for more game time.

“Our primary focus is a club in which [Chicharito] can play the most games possible,” Eduardo said. “That’s the most important.

“Javier has asked personally for it. He’s commented, stated and demanded that we look for a club that really needs a player with his characteristics because what he wants is to play and play and play.”

Moyes now must respond to this ultimatum, and it may be that putting Hernandez back in West Ham’s first-team is his only real option.

With Lanzini and Arnautovic both picking up injuries, Moyes’ options up-front are slim and if Hernandez is still not featuring regularly than it could only be seen as a snub.

Moyes has frequently stated that he does not want to lose Hernandez this month, and he should now give in to the pressure and hand the Mexican international a consistent run of games.

It is hard to see a better option for Moyes right now, due to injuries, and if Hernandez fails to score frequently then he will have nobody to blame but himself, if he does leave the London Stadium.
