West Ham United secured the £16 million signing of the Mexican last night.
Hammers new signing Javier Hernandez sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, following the official confirmation of his signing, and shared what made the idea of a move to West Ham so appealing.
The London Stadium faithful are seemingly over the moon following the Mexican’s arrival at the club, after years of suffering with their club failing to secure the signing of a top class striker.
Things are now finally looking up for the east London outfit, and following a whole host of impressive new signings, many will be expecting them to challenge for the Europa League spots, just like they did during the season before last.

“This club is a very historic one, I’m going to live in London and be in the best league in the world. I want to try and help this ambitious team. You can see in the summer transfer window that they spend very well with good players, because they want to achieve a lot of stuff.”
In today’s day and age, £16 million for someone of the former Manchester United man’s ilk seems like an absolute snip, and if the Mexico international can replicate the form that he has showcased over the past five years or so, he will surely be a huge hit at West Ham.
