Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at Miguel Layun’s performance on Saturday.
Layun made a memorable debut in the Premier League for Watford, as he scored in the 2-2 draw with Everton away from home.
The 27-year-old, who can play as a full-back as well as a midfielder, found the target in the 14th minute of the encounter at Goodison Park with a half-volley.
After the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, Hernandez posted the following message on Twitter for his Mexico international teammate Layun.
Layun, who recently won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Mexico national team, joined Watford from Club America in the January transfer window.
In 17 Championship appearances last season, the former Atalanta man created 18 chances, had a pass accuracy of 77%, and won eight headers, four dribbles and 15 tackles.
Watford are being tipped to suffer relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.
