Hernandez scored West Ham’s only goal as they drew against Chelsea.

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has pleaded with Hammers boss David Moyes on the club’s official website to give him more first-team football after he starred from the bench against Chelsea on Sunday.
The 29-year-old started the game on the bench at Stamford Bridge, but was introduced in the second half and scored just three minutes after coming on after good work by Marko Arnautovic.
The 99-time Mexico international finished precisely past Thibaut Courtois to cancel out Cesar Azpilicueta’s opener, earnign the Hammers an unlikely point against Antonio Conte’s Premier League champions.

Former Manchester United striker Hernandez spoke after the match about his game time, after completing 90 minutes just nine times in the Premier League this season. He also praised Patrice Evra for his impact off the bench.
“I’m looking to play 90 minutes every game. I want to give a headache to the manager so he has to decide, like all the squad. You can see Patrice Evra also came in and did a good job,” Hernandez said.
“We have some players who are injured who are trying to come back and we have a very good squad and we all want to play more than 20 minutes, that’s for sure. We also know that everybody wants to give everything to help the team.”

Hernandez’s strike took his tally to eight goals for the season, in a campaign that has seen him drift in and out of the team as well as being sidelined for about a month between November and December due to a hamstring injury.
Moyes may well listen to the pocket-sized goalscorer’s claims ahead of Monday night’s crucial encounter against Stoke City, in a match that is sure to have huge meaning in the race to survive relegation.
