The West Ham United duo both scored against Watford in the Premier League yesterday.
Hammers ace Javier Hernandez spoke to reporters after his side’s vitally important 2-0 win over Watford at the London Stadium yesterday, and offered high words of praise for his teammate Marko Arnautovic, labelling him as an ‘unbelievable all-round player’, as quoted by the club’s official website.
West Ham remain in 12th position after yesterday’s victory, but they are now just six points adrift of seventh placed Burnley.
The east London outfit shouldn’t get too carried away, however, with only five points separating them from the bottom three.
David Moyes deserves great credit for the manner in which he has gone about his business, since taking over as Hammers boss back in November.
Many predicted that Arnautovic would be one of the first players who Moyes disposed of when he came into the club, but the Austrian has proved every single one of his critics wrong, and has been nothing short of sensational for the Hammers over the past few months.
Hernandez spoke to reporters after yesterday’s win, and raved about the quality of Arnautovic, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“Marko is an unbelievable, all-around player and it gives you a lot of confidence when you play up front with a player like him, or like Joao or Manu. We have a good understanding with each other and both of us scored today. That’s a good thing for a striker.”
The Hammers have two weeks off now, and return to action on February 24th with a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool, and Arnautovic and Hernandez will both have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of returning to London with anything to show for their efforts.
