The Mexican was strongly linked with a Hammers exit last month.
Javier Hernandez of West Ham United
It is now no secret that Javier Hernandez wanted to leave West Ham in the winter. The Mexican has made that clear in the press and his transparency should be applauded. The Mexican wanted to be playing regular football before the World Cup in the summer after being cast aside slightly by new West Ham boss David Moyes.
He has now spoken to the media in his homeland about the incident. Whilst again reiterating his stance on wanting to leave, but being 100 percent committed to the West Ham cause, he also made it clear he has no issues with West Ham manager David Moyes:
He has told Radio Marca Claro:
“We get along, there has never been anything, no personal problem, we have never had frictions, or those negative moments, we have not had anything…
Manchester United Manager David Moyes substitutes Wayne Rooney for Javier Hernandez
“I’ve never had a problem with him or anyone, no personal problem, thank God. There will be people with whom I get along better than others, but that does not mean they are my enemies, the truth is that the situation (with Moyes) is fine, there is nothing wrong that I can say.”
There have been grumblings of a difficult relationship between Moyes and Chicharito but Hernandez is clear in his comments that he has no problems with the gaffer.
An injured Manuel Lanzini of West Ham United leaves the pitch and is substituted by Javier Hernandez
For whatever reason Moyes was not picking Hernandez and, in truth, it was working for a little while – Moyes briefly turning around the fortunes of the Hammers.
Hernandez has been more present recently, even scoring in their last game, albeit a 3-1 defeat v Brighton and Hove Albion.
Moyes and West Ham fans will both hope Hernandez can now start scoring freely in the Premier League. If not, relegation is still a looming possibility.
