Jason Holt bemoans Glasgow Rangers’ lack of consistency

Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers could pick up three wins in a row for the first time this season at the weekend.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Jason Holt has told the Daily Record that the Ibrox side have had the same problem for a year now.

Rangers have seen both Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha depart in the past 12 months, with their form since returning to the top flight a disappointing.

Rangers have been unable to put any pressure on Celtic, with the Light Blues struggling to rival their Glasgow rivals for honours.

And Holt feels that Rangers’ major problem is that they are so inconsistent, after failing to win three games in a row all season.

The midfielder said: “It is not great we are even talking about trying to get three wins

“At this club we should be going on far longer runs than that if we want to have ambitions to win things.

“That needs to change and that is something we are striving to do. I don’t think we have any mental anxiety, we just have lacked consistency over the past year.”

Rangers have already fallen 10 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this season, but they did move up to second after beating Aberdeen last weekend.

Rangers have been out of sorts in some of their recent matches, but Graeme Murty’s side picked up arguably their most impressive result of the season at Pittodrie on Sunday.

Rangers will now be looking to build on their victory over the Dons, and strengthen their grip on second spot in the coming weeks.
