Newcastle United will face West Ham United in the Premier League this afternoon.

Newcastle will take on West Ham United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this afternoon.
The Magpies have lost all of three competitive matches so far this season, and morale is low at St. James’ Park.

Benitez’s side went down 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at home in their opening game of the Premier League season, before suffering a 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town away in the league.
Then earlier this week, Newcastle suffered a 3-2 extra-time defeat to Nottingham Forest at St. James’ Park in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Benitez was quoted as saying by The Guardian last week that he was not happy with Newcastle transfer dealings so far this summer.

Former Tottenham and Chelsea defender Cundy has said that Benitez is too good for Newcastle, and that it would not surprise him if the Spaniard leaves the club if the team lose to West Ham this afternoon.
“Rafa Benitez is too good for Newcastle as a manager,” said Cundy on Drive on talkSPORT on Friday afternoon (broadcast from 4pm, August 25, 2017). “They are very lucky to have him and they are very fortunate he stayed on.
“Now, the fans appreciate him. It wouldn’t surprise me if Rafa gets beat this weekend and if he decides to walk.”
