Well, Tottenham Hotspur beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
Dejan Kulusevski started the match on the right of a three-man attacking midfield and played for 63 minutes.
South Korea international forward Son Heung-min came on as a substitute and provided the assist for the winning goal deep into injury time.
While reflecting on the win for Spurs, former Chelsea and Tottenham defender Jason Cundy has noted that Tottenham do not depend on Son a lot.
And, during this analysis, the talkSPORT pundit said that Kulusevski is “a high-class player”.
Cundy said on talkSPORT (6:45 pm, February 10, 2024): “I think what we are looking at with Spurs is, if you go back to 12 months ago, to think of a side without Kane and Son in it, you would say that Spurs would immediately be weakened.
“It feels as though he has got choices now, certainly with Werner. Kulusevski clearly is a high-class player, so it feels as though that Son now isn’t missed as much as he would have been last season even though he had a hand in the goal.”
My View: Dejan Kulusevski one of the best young players around
In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur forward Dejan Kulusevski is one of the best young players in Europe.
Kulusevski is just 23 now. His best years are ahead of him. He is playing regularly in the Premier League and is playing for a top club. Not many 23-year-olds can say that.
The Sweden international starred for Juventus, and now he is one of the first names on the Tottenham teamsheet.
Kulusevski has scored five goals and given two assists in 21 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League so far this season.
The winger has made 70 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored 12 goals and given 17 assists in those games.
