Cummings was on loan at Peterborough until the end of the season.

Jason Cummings has seemingly confirmed he is to return to Nottingham Forest by sending a heartfelt message to Peterborough United on his Instagram story.
The 23-year-old has been in decent enough form for League One side Peterborough this season, scoring eight goals and creating five more in 29 league and cup appearances.
Barry Fry confirmed last week that the player had no future with the club, but under the terms of the loan with Peterborough and Forest, it was The Posh’s responsibility to find him a new team.
Now, it appears that his loan at Peterborough has been cancelled after the Scotland international thanked his loan side and the club’s fans during his time there. It remains to be seen if a new move will be engineered.
He said: “Thanks for having me, Peterborough. Thanks to all the fans all the best to the lads for the rest of the season. Great bunch of boys.”

Cummings joined Forest from Hibernian in the summer of 2017, but he managed just four goals in 17 games and he was loaned to Scottish Premiership side Rangers. He managed six in 18, before going to Posh.
The ex-Rangers man joins a club now managed by a Celtic legend in Martin O’Neill and a move to a new side before Thursday’s 11pm deadline could be reached.
