Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring John McGinn to Ibrox from Hibernian, while Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have also been linked with the midfielder.

Rangers are interested in signing McGinn from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Record, which claims that new manager Steven Gerrard is weighing up a move for him.
The Gers’ Old Firm rivals, Celtic, have also been linked with a move for the Scotland international midfielder.
Back in June 2017, The Express reported that Celtic were planning to sign McGinn from Hibernian in the summer of 2017, while a report in ChronicleLive in February 2018 stated that the performances of the Scotland international this season have caught the eye of the Glasgow giants.
Cummings, who joined Rangers on loan from Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window, played with McGinn at Hibernian.
The 22-year-old striker has revealed that he has spoken to the Hibernian midfielder about moving to Rangers, but he seems to have suggested that the former St. Mirren star may not make the switch to the Gers.

Cummings told The Express: “I was with McGinn on Thursday. I tried to get him to come. I’m not too sure if that will go through but I hope it does, because I have played with him for years and he is a good mate of mine.”

Quality footballer
McGinn is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and has been playing well for Hibernian this season.
The 23-year-old Scotland international midfielder has scored five goals and provided four assists in 30 Scottish Premiership appearances for Hibs this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
If Rangers are able to convince the midfielder to move to Ibrox, then it would make the Gers’ team a lot better than they are at the moment.
Cummings joined Forest from Hibernian in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Post to be worth £1 million.
