Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers won 6-1 at the weekend, with Ibrox striker Jason Cummings, on loan from Nottingham Forest, scoring a goal.

Rangers striker Jason Cummings has explained to the club’s official website his celebration after scoring for the Ibrox club against Ayr United.

Cummings, who joined Rangers on loan from Nottingham Forest in the Championship in England in the January transfer window, scored for the Gers in their 6-1 victory over Ayr away from home in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.

After finding the net midway through the second half at Somerset Park, the 22-year-old striker celebrated by throwing a toilet roll.

Speaking about his goal celebration, Cummings told Rangers’ official website: “The celebration was a bit of a fool; I just saw a wee toilet roll and launched it! It didn’t spin out though it just got launched but I’ll take it!”

Silly celebration

Cummings’ celebration was not exactly great and not well-thought, but one suspects that Rangers fans will not mind.

It was a good goal from the Scotland international striker, who has started his Rangers career in stunning fashion.

The Forest-owned striker has scored two goals already for Rangers since his loan move, and the 22-year-old could well become a regular in Graeme Murty’s first team in the coming weeks.

Rangers are aiming to finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.
