Leeds United’s Under-23 were thumped on Friday night.

Leeds United’s Under-23 side were given a 4-0 thumping by their Hull City counterparts on Friday.
Jason Blunt’s side fell behind on 43 minutes when Greg Olley opened the scoring for the Tigers, who extended their lead 10 minutes after the break through Robbie McKenzie.
Five minutes later, Will Annan made it 3-0 to Hull, before Olley finished the rout shortly afterwards.

The manner of his side’s first goal irked Leeds youth coach Blunt, after Mike Taylor tried to play the ball out from defence and was caught out by Olley.
And the 38-year-old said to LUTV that the teenage defender got the basics a little wrong on Friday night.

He told LUTV: “We conceded a goal quite late on in the first half, and it was quite basic really. The lad just needs to clear it and get his shape but he tries to play. it out”
The 18-year-old signed a one-year professional deal with the club in the summer.
Leeds’ first-team boss Garry Monk is known to cast an eye on what happens in U-23 outings, and he will undoubtedly hear about the error which led to Hull’s opener on Friday.
His first-team prospects are not great regardless of the mistake, given the options Monk has at centre-back and right-back, but what happened the other night is unlikely to have endeared himself to the ex-Swansea manager.
