Leeds United’s Under-23 side drew again on Monday night.

Speaking to LUTV, Leeds United’s Under-23 coach Jason Blunt has appeared to criticise Tyler Denton following the team’s 1-1 draw with their Bristol City counterparts.
Both sides settled for a share of the spoils at Elland Road on Monday night.

But the hosts will be slightly more disappointed with the result after Jack McKay’s first-half opener was cancelled out by a wonderful Jake Andrews free kick.
Left-back Denton – who has played and scored for Leeds’ senior side this season – was the man who conceded the free kick following a foul on James Difford.
And Blunt has suggested to LUTV that it was a rather needless foul to concede by the 21-year-old defender.

Asked if it was a “silly” free kick to give away, Blunt said: “Yeah I’ve looked back on the free kick and Tyler probably doesn’t need to get involved.
“Their lad has overreacted but it’s football. [Denton] Didn’t really need to get involved, didn’t need to give a free kick away, but the boy [Andrews] took it extremely well.”
Blunt went on to claim that Leeds boss Garry Monk usually watches his team in action, so the ex-Swansea manager will not have been overly impressed by what he saw from Denton.
He has been named on the bench in two of United’s three League Cup outings, having scored and started in their second-round win at Luton.
With a fourth-round clash with Norwich on the horizon, Denton was certainly in the frame to rival Charlie Taylor for a starting spot, but the sloppy foul on Monday may have made up Monk’s mind already.
