Amadou Haidara played for Leeds United on Monday night.

Amadou Haidara managed 45 minutes for Leeds United’s Under-23s on Monday night as Jason Blunt’s side drew 1-1 with Bristol City.
Haidara was a late addition to Leeds’ ranks in the summer transfer window, but if not for the player’s Instagram post, in which he posed with a Leeds scarf somewhere on the club’s grounds, then his arrival might have gone under the radar due to the lack of an announcement.

The lack of official reaction from the Whites had prompted speculation that it was a hoax, with a Yorkshire Evening Post journalist claiming on Twitter that the club were “mystified” as to who the player was.
But it seems that Haidara – who is followed by Hadi Sacko on Instagram – is indeed a Leeds player after replacing Gaetano Berardi to play the full second half of United’s youth game earlier this week.

Very little is still known about him, but Under-23 coach Jason Blunt claimed on LUTV that he is a “very good addition” and claims that he is a long way off full fitness.
He said: “Amadou did well when he came on. He’s still lacking a bit of match fitness and is still a long way off, so 45 minutes for him was perfect.
“But he’s a good character in the dressing room, a very determined young man and he’s been a good addition to the squad.”
Blunt’s comments may also indicate that Haidara is officially a Leeds player, rather than a trialist – a theory which had previously been floated on Twitter.
