Trevor Sinclair has said on talkSPORT (8:15am, May 6, 2022) that he thinks that Jarrod Bowen will join Manchester United, not Liverpool, in the summer transfer window, amid speculation over his future at West Ham United.

The former West Ham winger believes that Liverpool are well covered in their attacking unit, especially with Fabio Carvalho likely to make the move from Fulham in the summer of 2022.

The talkSPORT pundit believes that Manchester United could do with an attacking player like Bowen, but he has said that he hopes that the £22 million (The Guardian) 25-year-old stays at West Ham.

90min reported last month that Liverpool are long-term admires of Bowen and want to sign him.

Jarrod Bowen’s uncertain future at West Ham

Sinclair said on talkSPORT (8:15am, May 6, 2022): “You are talking Manchester United, the situation with Mason Greenwood, the way that it has not quite happened on the other side of the pitch for them as well. You could see him going there.

“There has been interest from Liverpool, but I just feel they have got Carvalho as well from Fulham. I think they are alright in that position. So we will see. I hope he stays. He is a fans’ favourites.”

Manchester United or Liverpool?

In our opinion, Manchester United would be a better option than Liverpool for Bowen.

As Sinclair points out, Liverpool are well covered in attack, and do not need to sign Bowen in the summer transfer window.

The former Hull City attacker will struggle for playing time at Anfield, while at Manchester United, he is likely to play more and become a star figure, especially under new manager Erik ten Hag.

Bowen has scored 10 goals and given eight assists in 31 Premier League starts for West Ham this season.
