PSV Eindhoven may struggle to meet Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite demands with the Premier League loanee making a big impact on loan at the Eredivisie giants.
That is according to Dutch football reporter Marco Timmer, speaking on Voetbal International’s Skiete Willy Podcast.
PSV, Timmer points out, have already attempted to secure Branthwaite’s signature on a permanent basis on a number of occasions. The 1988 European Champions failed with a £15 million bid during the January transfer window.

And, when the summer rolls around, PSV could find themselves facing an influx of competition, interest from Manchester United and even Everton’s Merseyside neighbours Liverpool threatening to spark a bidding war (Daily Mail).
Will Everton sell Jarrad Branthwaite to PSV Eindhoven?
“I think when all of those clubs are interested and watching your games, it’s going to be one of them where you take notice,” says Branthwaite, who would become the first player in over 20 years to go from Goodison Park to Anfield.
“But for me it’s just about playing the games. The first half of the season, I wasn’t playing as many as I wanted. But now I’m just fully focussed on doing that and performing the best I can.”
Everton, of course, are unlikely to stand idly by and allow one of their most promising youngsters to pull on the red of Liverpool. Branthwaite’s Goodison Park future remains uncertain, however, with James Tarkowski, Michael Keane, Ben Godfrey and co already fighting for a starting spot under Sean Dyche.
Everton, given their well-publicised financial problems, may relish the opportunity to make a sizeable profit on a player they snapped up from Carlisle United, reinvesting those funds into strengthening Dyche’s roster.
“PSV has already tried to buy Branthwaite a few times,” Timmer says. “They will still try to keep that boy, but that will not be easy. You are talking about amounts of more than ten million euros.
“It is not easy for PSV to put such amounts on the table. It is a lot for PSV. (There will be a point where) you say you have to take a step back.”
PSV are suffering from financial issues of their own. And, with Everton already rejecting a £15 million bid from the Dutch giants (Daily Mail), Branthwaite may already moved beyond PSV’s reach.
