Arsenal youngster Jonathan Dinzeyi has praised Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga on Instagram for his performance against Aston Villa at the weekend.

Dinzeyi has described the 21-year-old’s display at right-back for Tottenham in their 2-0 win against Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday as “solid”.

The 21-year-old defender joined Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 and linked up with the Gunners’ Under-23 side.

As reported on Arsenal’s official website, Dinzeyi developed through Tottenham’s academy and decided to cross the North London divide in the summer of 2020 and signed a professional contract with the Gunners.

Tanganga played as a right-back against Villa, and the performance of the 21-year-old was very encouraging indeed.

The English youngster could have done better with his passing on occasions, but the right-back was involved in the second goal for Spurs, as he won the ball back to start the move that eventually led to the penalty.

It is encouraging to see that despite having moved to Arsenal, Dinzeyi is still happy for his former teammate at the Tottenham academy.
