Tottenham Hotspur beat Juventus 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a dramatic win on Sunday afternoon, beating Juventus 3-2 in the International Champions Cup in Singapore.
Harry Kane’s stunning winner in injury-time grabbed the win, as he beat Wojciech Szczesny from the halfway line with a remarkable long-range goal.
Tanguy Ndombele grabbed headlines as Tottenham’s club-record signing recorded an assist with virtually his first touch of the ball in a Spurs shirt, but this was about young players too.
Troy Parrott really impressed in attack, but defender Japhet Tanganga stepped up with a big performance alongside Toby Alderweireld in the Spurs back four.
Tanganga, 20, may not be a household name at Spurs, but he really seized his opportunity with a strong performance, even up against Mario Mandzukic and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He was strong and positionally sound, confident up against big names and comfortable in possession, meaning he’s put himself firmly in the thoughts of boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Cameron Carter-Vickers hasn’t progressed as intended, and Spurs have missed out on Saint-Etienne’s William Saliba. There’s a spot for a young defender to really step forward and save the club millions, and Tanganga’s performance showed he has the potential to be that player, even if it’s only pre-season.
It’s especially interesting given that Tanganga was expected to move on this summer. In March, Calciomercato reported that Tanganga had switched agents, with Italian clubs hoping to sign him when his contract expired.
Transfermarkt claim that Tanganga signed a new one-year deal in June, and the young defender must now take confidence from his performance against Juventus, using it was a springboard to not only earn another contract, but also push for first-team football under Pochettino in the future.
