Leeds United’s first pre-season friendly was a success.

Leeds United’s first pre-season friendly was an easy 5-0 victory against York City.
The Whites cruised to a 4-0 lead at half-time, with Jack Harrison scoring a first half brace.
Goals from Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw added to the tally.
But it was the changes in the second half which also caught the eye, with Leeds’ younger players stating their case.
Potential Pontus Jansson replacement Pascal Struijk was a class act at centre-back.
The former Ajax defender was composed on the ball, and while just against non-league opposition, looked like he was comfortable stepping up.
BBC Radio Leeds’ Adam Pope noted his quality.
Struijk’s promising performance was complemented by debuts for two new signings, Rafa Mujica and Liam McCarron.
The duo came to Leeds from differing backgrounds, with Mujica joining from Barcelona and McCarron from Carlisle.
The two players are expected to begin with the under-23s this season, but they showed enough bright touches to suggest a first team role could be possible for both of them as the season goes on.
Leeds will need to see more, but it was an encouraging start.
