Leeds failed to overcome Nottingham Forest on New Year’s Day.

Pontus Jansson of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Barnsley and Leeds United at Oakwell Stadium on November 25, 2017 in Barnsley, England.

Leeds United fan favourite has posted a video on Twitter of his daughter Alicia taking in the surroundings at Elland Road before describing his side’s 0-0 draw as Nottingham Forest as “unfortunate”.

The Whites failed to make their chances pay despite going close through Samu Saiz, Pablo Hernandez and Pierre-Michel Lasogga while Kemar Roofe hit the crossbar.

The point sees Leeds drop down into sixth place, with Aston Villa moving into fifth after they surprised many with a huge 5-0 win over Bristol City at Villa Park.

Sweden international Jansson showed his daughter around the Elland Road turf in a video that shows her pointing towards the Don Revie stand following the goalless draw against Forest.

The 26-year-old centre-back is starting to show his best form that saw Leeds complete a permanent deal to sign him from Serie A side Torino earlier in 2018, after a difficult start to the campaign.

Leeds fans reacted to Jansson’s heartfelt tweet in equally affectionate measure, with one fan describing the result as a “point in the bag” instead of two points lost.
