Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen is set to return to action and feature for the under-23s, SkySports report.

Janssen has been out injured all season with a foot injury.

He was not part of Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad registered earlier this season, and his return is better from a strategic point of view, rather than for the team.

In fact the timing is almost perfect for Spurs.

The Sun report have claimed that in order for Mauricio Pochettino to buy players, Tottenham need to sell their unwanted players, which include Janssen.

Daniel Levy would have had little luck selling an injured Janssen.

Now Janssen has a chance to prove his fitness, and show what he can do in an under-23 game.

Tottenham have even unofficially let it be known that he will be featuring in Monday’s game against Liverpool.

Janssen is in the shop window, and Tottenham will be hoping he has a good game.

His return to action will help Daniel Levy sell him, and subsequently help buy the players Pochettino wants.
