Jannik Sinner has been one of the dominant forces in men’s tennis for some time now, stealing the limelight with Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner recently lost his world number one ranking to Alcaraz, but the duo did share the four Grand Slam titles in 2025.
That was a repeat of the 2024 season on the ATP Tour, with the same scenario very much a possibility in 2026.
For now, however, Sinner is enjoying some well-deserved downtime from tennis, with his latest actions involving the Formula 1 season finale.

The Italian was in attendance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where Lando Norris clinched the title despite Max Verstappen winning the race.
Asked by F1 Paddock Club ahead of the event which driver he thinks has the most similar mentality to him on court, Sinner replied: “Obviously the mental is really, really important.
“If I would choose one, I would say maybe George [Russell]. He is very relaxed, obviously very, very focused and concentrated during his race, very similar to me.”

As Sinner mentioned, mental strength is a key skill in the F1 world, just like it is in tennis, another largely individual sport.
The Italian was also on hand to share his history with F1, having been asked to recall his first connection with the sport.
He explained: “Well I have lived in Monaco for six years, obviously the race in Monaco is extremely important. So six years ago was I feel like the first time where I went into Formula 1, and now I’m a huge fan.”
Mercedes star Russell finished fifth in Abu Dhabi, with McLaren’s Norris claiming the overall title thanks to his third-place finish.
