Jan Vertonghen has praised Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on Twitter for scoring against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The former Tottenham defender believes that Kane is the best penalty taker in the world.
Vertonghen, now at Benfica, played with Kane at Tottenham for a number of years.
The Belgian defender is still in awe of Kane, according to his post below.
Kane scored from the penalty spot in the 35th minute, giving United goalkeeper David de Gea no change whatsoever of making a save.
Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker was also impressed by Kane’s goal from the penalty spot.

Vertonghen and Lineker’s praise for Tottenham’s Harry Kane
Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is a goal machine.
The Tottenham striker was not exactly at his best against United, but he took his penalty very well.
In our view, Kane is a very reliable penalty taker, and it shows.
The striker did not start the season strongly, but he is doing well at the moment.
Tottenham will need Kane’s goals in the final weeks and months of the season if they are to finish in the Premier League top four.
