Spurs are reportedly willing to let a number of their first-team stars leave this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen has been quoted by the Daily Mail as saying that he expects the “core” of Spurs’ senior side will remain the same next season – and fans have underlined their admiration for the defender.
Toby Alderweireld’s future remains a huge doubt in north London with only a year left on his contract, while Fernando Llorente could also leave after a disappointing campaign. Loanees Vincent Janssen and Georges N’Koudou also face an interesting summer.
On top of that, the Mail claim Spurs are ready to conduct a £170million firesale of Alderweireld, Danny Rose, Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama this summer.

However, Vertonghen – who himself has only a year left on a contract the Daily Star claim is worth £100,000 a week – believes that Spurs will keep the majority of their players.
“Every new season is exciting and we have a great group of players. We have a great squad and every year there are changes somewhere but I think the core of this team will stay together,” Vertonghen said.
Tottenham fans have reacted to the 31-year-old’s comments, praising the Belgian star with some even claiming he should be made captain ahead of the 2018-19 season.
One fan described him as “such a loyal player”.
