Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has told BBC Sport that Celtic need to return to winning ways this weekend.
Celtic will take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The Bhoys will head into the game at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on the back of an embarrassing 7-0 defeat to Spanish giants Barcelona away from home at Camp Nou in Champions League Group C.
Former Celtic striker Vennegoor of Hesselink has underlined the importance of Brendan Rodgers’s side getting the better of Inverness.
“The next game is when you can show again that you’re capable of winning the league,” Vennegoor of Hesselink told BBC Sport. “You can turn things around really quickly.
“Make sure you win the game, not even playing football in a good way, just make sure you win the game, so no-one can hold that against you. They can do that. It will be okay.”
Celtic have made a good start to the 2016-17 campaign and are favourites to win the Scottish Premiership title yet again.
Drawing against Barcelona at Camp Nou on Tuesday evening was not possible, and a defeat was always on the cards.
However, a 7-0 loss is an embarrassment for any club, and Celtic will have to bounce back.
Inverness are second from bottom in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, and the Hoops should find it easy to pick up all three points at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
