The Dutchman has impressed since joining Liverpool in the summer.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby has praised Georginio Wijnaldum during an interview with the club’s official website.
Wijnaldum joined the Reds in the summer transfer window in a big money move from Newcastle United.
He has since established himself in the team, playing a key role as part of a midfield three alongside Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana.
While his performances have not been as eye-catching as the likes of Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, Wijnaldum’s presence has not gone unnoticed, with many Reds fans praising the influence the Dutchman has had.

One man who has not missed that is Molby, who says that the more he sees of Wijnaldum the more he likes him.
“Wijnaldum is a clever player,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I have always thought he was a really good player and he fits the way we want to play. He has had more of a deeper role so far at Liverpool, but it doesn’t surprise me that he can play there.
“He is technically very good and the more you see of him, the more you like. He has an excellent goalscoring record from midfield.”

If there was one improvement Liverpool will be looking for from Wijnaldum it is probably his goal-scoring record.
He has managed to find the back of the net just once for the Reds, scoring in the 6-1 rout of Watford before the international break.
So far it has not mattered as they sit top of the scoring charts regardless but if the goals from their forward three start to dry up, they will be keen to see Wijnaldum contributing to ease the burden.
