The Celtic hitman has been identified by the Slovakian boss as a threat – and rightly so.

Speaking to The Scotsman, Slovakia manager Jan Kozak has highlighted the “excellent” Leigh Griffiths as a threat when his side face Scotland next month.
Gordon Strachan’s side host Kozak and co at Hampden Park on October 5 in a key World Cup qualifier.
Scotland have a real chance of securing a playoff spot in Group F if they beat Slovakia and then Slovenia away three days later, which could see them finish second.

One man who can definitely help fire them to Russia next summer is Celtic hitman Leigh Griffiths.
The Celtic ace reaffirmed his role as a big player for Strachan back in June by scoring two wonderful free kicks against England at Hampden Park, after coming on as a substitute.
The Scottish marksman also found the net in the 2-0 win over Malta last month, and although Kozak refused to single out any players, he couldn’t help but highlight the threat of the Celtic man.

He told The Scotsman: “I do not want to talk about individuals because football is a team game. The Scottish team has a strong team with a lot of personalities, starting with the goalkeepers, with great defence and ending with the excellent Griffiths as striker.”
Griffiths has five goals in six starts for Brendan Rodgers’s side so far this season.
