Jan Kluitenberg has praised Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse on Twitter for his goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
Southampton got the better of Tottenham 2-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.
Spurs took the lead in the 26th minute through England international striker Harry Kane, but the home team launched a comeback in the second half.
Yan Valery restored parity for the Saints in the 76th minute, and Ward-Prowse scored the winner in the 81st minute.
Former Southampton coach Kluitenberg was following the match, and he was impressed with 24-year-old midfielder Ward-Prowse and was delighted to see the Saints win.

The win against Tottenham means that Southampton are now 16th in the Premier League table with 30 points from as many matches.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are two points above the relegation zone, and there is still a chance that they will avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
Southampton will return to action next weekend when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home in the Premier League.
