Jan Kirchhoff made his first appearance for Sunderland since October last weekend.
Jan Kirchhoff has told the Sunderland Echo that his situation at Sunderland has not been enjoyable this season.
Kirchhoff has been hit with injury problems since the start of the campaign, but he is edging towards full fitness now.

The 26-year-old made his first appearance since October in Sunderland’s 2-1 win over Leicester City last weekend.
And he said: “It has not been a nice situation to sit out of the team and to have problems twice already this year.
“I haven’t found my rhythm so far and that is something I need to improve and work on.”
Kirchhoff was vital for Sunderland towards the back end of last season, as they narrowly avoided relegation.

His absence has been a major blow for David Moyes in his initial weeks at the Stadium of Light, but Kirchhoff returns at a good time.
Sunderland have picked up after a poor start to the campaign, and they have now won three of their last four matches.
The Black Cats are now only one point away from safety, and confidence appears to have flooded back to the team.
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend, when they take on fellow strugglers Swansea City.
