After Liverpool were beaten 3-0 by Wolves, Jan Aage Fjortoft said that while Jurgen Klopp will not be sacked by the club, he could resign.
As far as shock stories go in football, this very well tops the list. The German boss is a Reds legend at this point and while things have been nightmarish for him and his side this season, it would come as a major surprise, considering he signed a contract extension in April last year.
However, it seems as if Jurgen Klopp could very well bid farewell to Liverpool, as revealed by Jan Aage Fjortoft after his side’s latest loss to Wolves.

Considering the £305,000-a-week man has pledged his allegiance to the club on a number of occasions this campaign, an exit, that does not even come from the owners always seemed unimaginable.
But not as per Jan Aage Fjortoft, who tweeted that Jurgen Klopp could well resign Liverpool, as his side tasted a bitter defeat against Wolves.
“[Jurgen] Klopp won’t be fired. But he could walk”, Jan Aage Fjortoft said as Liverpool were battered and bruised by Wolves.
Resigning would be a poor look for Klopp
Sure, the ex-Mainz manager has not been backed in the transfer market as much as he would have liked to over the years, while injuries have played somewhat of a role in his side’s decline this season.
But it is also worth noting that defeats such against Wolves reaffirm the fact that Jurgen Klopp himself is not blameless in the mess Liverpool finds themselves in, even if he decides to resign.
Tactically, the Champions League winner has found it next to impossible to create any solutions to help his side get out of a never-ending run.
Klopp must rise to the challenge and ensure that the Reds at least start challenging for top 4 again, as leaving at the first sign of true adversity would not put him in the best light to say the least.
