Pablo Hernandez is widely considered to be Leeds United’s most gifted player.
Jamie Shackleton has revealed to The Talking Shutt podcast on LS11’s YouTube channel that Pablo Hernandez is the most talented player at Leeds United.
The Spanish playmaker is probably having his best season on an individual and collective level since joining Leeds under Garry Monk in 2016.
Hernandez, who turns 34 in April, has managed to score seven goals and bag 11 assists in 22 Championship starts for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who sit second in the division.
The former Valencia maestro is a four-time Spain international, and young Leeds midfielder Shackleton, who has been playing right-back under Bielsa, says that Hernandez is on another level in training.
He told The Talking Shutt podcast on LS11’s YouTube channel, when asked about the most talented player in the squad: “Pablo. Some of the things he does is training nobody else can do.
“When you’re marking him in training, it’s tough. Just keep your legs shut!”
Hernandez replaced Jack Clarke at half-time in Leeds’ 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough on Saturday, and his impact was notable during the second 45 minutes.
United fans will be hoping that he’s back in Bielsa’s first XI this evening when former club Swansea City visit West Yorkshire.
