Clarke was admitted to hospital during the 1-1 draw between Leeds and Middlesbrough.

Jamie Shackleton has told LS11’s Talking Shutt podcast that he has spoken to Leeds United winger Jack Clarke after the teenager was admitted to hospital during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.
Clarke had played the first 45 minutes of the clash between the two promotion contenders at the Riverside, but was substituted at half-time. He then complained of feeling unwell, and paramedics were immediately brought in.
The 18-year-old was given oxygen while play stopped in the second half, before being stretchered off and taken to hospital – where the BBC claim he has since been released. Tests are said to be ongoing.
Leeds teammate Shackleton – who is renowned to be close to Clarke after breaking into the Leeds side at the same time having played with eachother in the youth teams – said he spoke to Clarke on the phone on Sunday.
“I spoke to him yesterday on the phone,” Shackleton said. “He is feeling a lot better. He’s good.”

Clarke has been given the week off from training, with the reason for his illness still yet to be discovered. He will miss Wednesday night’s clash against Swansea City.
Leeds remain in second after the 1-1 draw, but are now two points behind leaders Norwich City who beat Ipswich Town 3-0. Norwich are away to Preston on Wednesday night, while Leeds are at Elland Road.
