Jamie Redknapp has suggested in The Daily Mail that Tottenham Hotspur should hand Harry Kane a new contract.

Kane has been on the books of Tottenham his entire professional club football career so far and has a contract with the North London club until the summer of 2022, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Former Tottenham midfielder Redknapp has suggested that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy should sign players who can help the team compete at the top and also hand a new deal to 24-year-old England international striker Kane.

New contract for Harry Kane?

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and the form of the Tottenham star over the past four seasons have been great.

The 24-year-old has scored 27 goals and provided two assists in 33 Premier League starts for Spurs this campaign, while last season, the striker scored 29 goals and provided seven assists in 29 league starts for the North London club.

It would not be a bad idea for the North London club to hand Kane a new contract in the summer, as it would be a statement of intent and would also show the Spurs fans that they have no intention of losing any key players.
