Ex-Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has been shining for Paris Saint-Germain.

Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Everton are really missing midfielder Idrissa Gueye after his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Toffees hosted Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon, and were beaten 2-0 as Yerry Mina scored an own goal before Lys Mousset added a second.
Everton were thoroughly disappointing once again, and they’ve now lost three of their last four Premier League games, losing to Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Sheffield United.
That’s really not what Everton fans had in mind this season, as boss Marco Silva was expected to push the club forwards towards the top six rather than be mired in another mid-table battle.
Silva is now under major pressure from Everton fans to find a solution to his current woes, though it’s notable that the Toffees lost star midfielder Gueye this summer.
Everton finally backed down and allowed Gueye to join Paris Saint-Germain in a £30million deal, and his replacement Jean-Philippe Gbamin is currently out injured.

Whilst Gueye is impressing for PSG, particularly shining against Real Madrid, Everton are lacking that defensive protection from the Senegal international, which he provided for three years having been signed from Aston Villa by Steve Walsh in a bargain 2016 deal.
Now, Redknapp believes Everton are really missing Gueye after his league-high 142 tackles last season, adding that Saturday’s performance was far from good enough – something Gueye could have helped.
“No player in the Premier League made more tackles than Idrissa Gueye’s 142 last season,” said Redknapp. “I look at Everton now and can see how much they are missing the defensive midfielder who joined PSG for £30m in the summer. The fans at Goodison Park are passionate and want to see good performances. Saturday was not that,” he added.
