Jamie Redknapp has told The Totally Football Show on Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur could pick up Ryan Fraser for half-price this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Fraser in the Daily Mirror, with Jose Mourinho’s side said to be leading the race for the Bournemouth winger.
Fraser is available on a free transfer in the summer, but Redknapp fears the winger may have missed his chance to land big wages now.
And he thinks that Tottenham could be getting a deal which will work out much cheaper for them than if they had made a move in January.
“An interesting point on that is that players that are coming to the end of their contracts, if they had agreed a pre-contract in January – say Ryan Fraser to go to Tottenham for example – that amount right now will probably halve,” Redknapp said.

“If he had thought about it and gone and got your contract signed early he’d have been in a lot better position.”
Fraser could represent a great value for money signing for Tottenham on a free, especially if his wage demands have been reduced as Redknapp suggests.
The Scottish international is a proven Premier League player and his form over the 2018/19 season, when he claimed 14 assists, was very impressive.
Fraser’s performances have dipped for Bournemouth this term, but he would still offer Tottenham more depth to add to their attacking ranks.
Tottenham already have the likes of Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn who are natural wingers, but Fraser would give Mourinho even more options to pick from.
