Harry Kane has enjoyed another sensational season for Tottenham Hotspur, but Jamie Redknapp believes that he can improve further.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet in the 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend, Kane still received a large number of plaudits as it was his stunning cross that allowed Son Heung-min to score Spurs’ second goal that leaves them with plenty of confidence heading into this week’s Champions League tie with Juventus.

The assist was Kane’s second in the top flight this term, and Redknapp suggested that it is now time that the 24-year-old sets his teammates up for goals more often based on how his rivals perform in that area.
“Kane put so much whip on the ball that it landed on a plate for Son. He will not score a more simple goal this season,” he told the Mail. “If there was one part of Kane’s game he could improve, it is that he could set up more goals. While this was only his second assist of the season, his Golden Boot rivals Mo Salah and Sergio Aguero have eight and six.

“This cross proves Kane can be a prolific provider as well as the league’s most lethal marksman.”
It is extremely difficult to have any criticism of Kane’s game as he has been fantastic once again this season, scoring 35 goals in all competitions, including 24 in the league.
That return surely means that it will not be keeping Mauricio Pochettino up at night that Kane is not providing more assists, but he, like Redknapp, may hope that his brilliant cross for Son is a sign of things to come.
But it seems highly unlikely, for example, that we will be seeing Kane taking corners in an attempt to boost his assist numbers anytime soon.
