Spurs let a two goal lead slip to lose 3-2 in front of their Wembley crowd, surrendering an opportunity to reach the quarter-finals and potentially go on to win silverware.

He told SkySports’ post-game live coverage: “That performance in the second half… this was a great marker to lay down, to get a trophy in the bank.
“They have now got to get going for the weekend, and I’m sure they will be fine with Harry Kane back, but today that was a shocker, they were complacent, and arrogant.”
Tottenham rested Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane, along with defenders Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld, with Christian Eriksen coming off the bench.
This was a game Tottenham should never have lost, but it came down to West Ham simply wanting to win more than they did.
Spurs took their foot off the gas and could not recover, and now winning at Manchester United on Saturday has become even more important with Mauricio Pochettino making clear that the league is their priority.
