Jamie Redknapp has suggested in The Daily Mail that he was impressed with Victor Wanyama’s performance for Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Wanyama featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against London rivals Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
The Kenya international scored the only goal of the encounter in the 82nd minute when he headed home from a corner.

Former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Redknapp has praised Wanyama, and believes that the midfielder will prove to be a good signing for the North London outfit.
The Englishman has outlined what the former Celtic star brings to Tottenham, and has claimed that he is an absolute monster in midfield.
“Every time Tottenham had a set piece against Crystal Palace on Saturday they looked like they were going to score,” Redknapp wrote in The Daily Mail.
“With the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Victor Wanyama they have so much size and power in the box. Spurs play Liverpool next week and can cause them real problems from set pieces — especially given their frailties in defence.
“It was from a corner that Wanyama grabbed the winner when he headed in with eight minutes to go on Saturday. He will be a great signing for Spurs — he is an absolute monster in midfield!”

Wanyama joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window.
According to The Guardian, Spurs had to pay the Saints a transfer fee of around £11 million in order to secure the services of the midfielder.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will return to action next weekend when they take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
