Jamie Redknapp says Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is a model professional

Harry Kane scored twice against West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur player-turned-football pundit Jamie Redknapp has praised Harry Kane as a “complete forward”.

Kane scored two goals in the first half against West Ham as Tottenham secured a 3-2 win against the Hammers in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 24-year-old have reached 100 goals for Spurs by this season already, and took his goal tally to six in all competitions for this season.

Redknapp is particularly impressed with Kane’s glancing header for the first goal, and said that he could have had a hat-trick.

He said that Kane can lead the line if Spurs want to go direct, and can also bring his team-mates into play.

“Harry Kane is the most complete forward in the Premier League right now. In terms of all-round brilliance, he is second to none,” wrote Redknapp in his column for the Daily Mail.

“Look at his goals against West Ham. He scored a superb glancing header before effortlessly stroking in a cool finish — and could have had a hat-trick had his 25-yard free-kick not struck the post.

“Kane has it all. If Tottenham want to go direct, he is perfect at leading the line. If they play it to feet, Kane will bring his team-mates into play. He is hungry to score but is always looking to create chances, too.”

BBC pundit, Garth Crooks, is also impressed with Kane’s first goal and labelled it as a “great header”.

He said that Kane has got wonderful attitude towards the game, and appears as a model professional.

However, he believes that the talks of Kane winning the Ballon d’Or is ‘nonsense’, and the England striker should focus on winning trophies with Spurs at the moment.

“Great ball by Dele Alli, great header by Harry Kane. Spurs ripped West Ham to shreds in a matter of minutes and there was nothing the Hammers could do about it,” said Crooks to BBC Sport.

“In fact it might have been 4-0 if Kane’s free-kick hadn’t hit the post. Kane is looking imperious at the moment. He has a wonderful attitude towards the game and appears a model professional. However, all this nonsense about winning the Ballon d’Or is a mere distraction. Winning a trophy with Spurs is all that matters at the moment.”
