Manchester United take on Tottenham this weekend.

Jose Mourinho the manager of Chelsea speaks to the media during a press conference at the Chelsea Training Ground on December 8, 2015 in Cobham, England.

Tottenham Hotspur’s momentum was spiked this week as they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by West Ham.

It came just days ahead of their Premier League visit to Manchester United, with both sides locked level on points in second place.

Jamie Redknapp believes Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho will be licking his lips at Tottenham’s defeat.

He told SkySports’ post-game coverage: “If your Manchester United, you’ll be pleased. That’s burst their bubble a little bit.”

Redknapp added that the loss could be spun into a positive for Tottenham.

He said: “Poch may say that’s not good enough, and this is an opportunity to nip it in the bud.”

Spurs have the perfect way to bounce back at Old Trafford, but it will not be easy especially with the Red Devils regaining confidence by winning their Carabao Cup match.

United had lost the previous weekend at Huddersfield in a shock defeat, but their victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium has got that out of their system ahead of Saturday’s big game.
