Jamie Redknapp criticises West Ham United attacking midfielder Dimitri Payet.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp has suggested in The Daily Mail that West Ham United star Dimitri Payet’s attitude this season has not been good enough.
Redknapp believes that attacking midfielder Payet need sto step up and do more for West Ham this season.
“Dimitri Payet has been a particular problem,” the Englishman wrote in The Daily Mail. “Last season I couldn’t wait to talk about the Frenchman and his fantastic free-kicks.
“He is far too good for a relegation scrap but this season his attitude has not been good enough. He committed his future to the club by signing a new deal in February and needs to show he’s ready to have a go.”

Payet is West Ham’s best player and talisman, and he does need to do more. However, it would be unfair to criticise the France international attacking midfielder strongly given the number of chances he has created.
The 29-year-old has created as many as 47 chances in 12 Premier League appearances so far this campaign, while scoring once.
While the West Ham star does need to score more goals, he is certainly creating chances for his teammates and is trying to make things happen.

The London club are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from 14 matches.
Slaven Bilic’s side are just a point above the relegation zone and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
