Everton teenager scored an impressive goal in win over Manchester City.
Everton youngster Tom Davies had a breakout moment for the club in Sunday’s big win over Manchester City.
The 18-year-old netted a memorable goal as he deftly chipped the ball over Claudio Bravo, helping the team on their way to a 4-0 win at Goodison Park.
Everton’s Tom Davies scores their third goal
Davies earned plaudits from former England international Jamie Redknapp, who felt he had an immediate impact on the team.
He told The Mail: “Straight away he sparked energy into Everton’s midfield.
“He hardly wasted the ball against Manchester City and I loved the way he chopped back to beat Gael Clichy and Yaya Toure in the build-up to his goal.
“If Cristiano Ronaldo had done it we’d be talking about it for months.”

While the game was Davies’ first big moment in an Everton shirt, it was his eighth appearance for the club this season, and third start.
His chances show the faith manager Ronald Koeman has in him, and against City, it looked like he really believed in himself too.
The goal will take his confidence to another level, and earn him even more chances for the Toffees. He has certainly made it tough for Koeman to leave him out after Sunday’s performance.
