Tottenham Hotspur beat Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday afternoon.

Jamie Redknapp has told Sky Sports that he’s a huge fan of Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld.
Tottenham beat Manchester City 2-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday to end Pep Guardiola’s 100% record in English football and move one point behind the Premier League leaders in the process.
Aleksandar Kolarov’s ninth-minute own goal sent Spurs on their way, before Dele Alli doubled the lead before the break.

It was so comfortable for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, in fact, that Erik Lamela’s missed penalty on 65 minutes was rendered irrelevant by the end on a day when City’s all-star attack failed to hurt the Lilywhites’ defence.
Guardiola’s side had netted 18 times in their first six Premier League games, meaning Tottenham’s back four would have braced themelves for a tough afternoon, but Alderweireld and his defensive team-mates looked relatively comfortable yesterday.

And Redknapp admits he’s a massive fan of the big Belgian, who joined the North Londoners from Atletico Madrid last summer, having previously impressed on loan at Southampton.
He told Sky Sports: “The one player who always stand out for me is Alderweireld. I’m such a big fan of his. He bosses that back four. He’s been such a good signing and don’t underestimate what a good job he does.”
