Jamie Redknapp raves about Liverpool’s Naby Keita; delivers warning for Manchester United clash

The Liverpool star could be targeted by Manchester United according to the pundit.

Ex-Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp raved about the quality of new Reds signing Naby Keita, when writing his regular column for the Daily Mail, labelling the Guinea ace as an ‘all-action hero’.

Liverpool paid just over £60 million to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield from RB Leipzig this summer, and many are expecting him to take the Premier League by storm this season.

Keita is one of four new faces to arrive at Liverpool this summer, with Jürgen Klopp slashing out just under £180 million, and they are being hotly tipped to make a real push for the Premier League title this season.

Redknapp, who made 311 appearances for the Merseyside giants during an 11-year spell at Anfield, offered high words of praise for the Guinea international, when writing his regular column for the Daily Mail, highlighting how much of a difference he will make to his former side:

“He’s a little powerhouse — an all-action hero in midfield. Keita has a great touch, will make goals and score them. There is also devilment in his play and that could get him in trouble. We saw that last season when he was sent off four times. When Manchester United visit Anfield in December, I’m sure they’ll use every trick in the book to try to wind him up! But if he keeps his cool, he can be such an important player.”

Liverpool kick off their new Premier League campaign on Sunday when they welcome West Ham United to Anfield, and Reds fans will be desperate to see Keita in action for the first time competitively.
