Crystal Palace registered their first win of the Premier League on Saturday.

Crystal Palace finally managed their first victory of the 2017/18 Premier League season after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
Palace made a dreadful start to the new campaign, having lost all of their seven previous Premier League games. In fact, they failed to score a single goal in their previous seven games.
Chelsea, the reigning Champions, were overwhelming favourites to win this game. However, Palace fought brilliantly, and the inspiration of revival once again came from Wilfried Zaha.

A Yohan Cabaye effort, deflected off Cesar Azpilicueta, gave Palace the lead. Tiemoue Bakayoko quickly restored parity when he headed in from Cesc Fabregas’s corner.
However, Zaha scored before the break to make it 2-1. Palace defended resolutely and sealed all three points from the match.
Former Liverpool player and now a popular football pundit, Jamie Redkanpp, said that Zaha is Palace’s best player and that he ‘caused chaos’ for the Chelsea defenders.

Redknapp adds that Zaha was the ‘real difference’ against the Blues. With Zaha now back in the side, the Sky Sports pundit is confident that Palace can get out of their current mess.
“Wilfried Zaha is so good that he gets managers the sack when he is injured! Roy Hodgson may have got Crystal Palace more organised over the international break but it was Zaha who was the real difference against Chelsea,” wrote Redknapp for The Daily Mail.
“Zaha is Palace’s best player and caused chaos for the Chelsea defenders. They just could not handle him and it was no shock when he scored the crucial second goal.
“With Zaha and the excellent Mamadou Sakho back, and exciting young midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek still to return, I am confident Palace can get out of this mess.”
