Jamie Redknapp is tipping Brendan Rodgers for post-Celtic success.

Jamie Redknapp has told The Mail that he believes English Premier League clubs should strongly consider Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

Redknapp believes the former Liverpool boss is worthy of another ‘top six’ job in England after his incredible Celtic success.

Celtic are unbeaten in domestic football since he took over in the summer of 2016 and continue to set record after record.

Redknapp picked out the improvement of two Celtic players in particular as evidence for Rodgers’ ability to improve the players at his disposal.

He said: “Brendan’s greatest asset is improving players. He has helped transform Kieran Tierney into one of the best left backs in Britain.

“He has galvanised his captain Scott Brown, who was so impressive against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last Tuesday.

“While Celtic will not want to lose him, Rodgers is a manager tailor-made for the Premier League.”

Rodgers’ fantastic record at Celtic means that he is not in any rush to depart, and will only accept a ‘top’ job if he does move on.

These do not become available very often and current vacancies at Everton and potentially West Ham are unlikely to be enough to tempt him away.

There are still records to be set at Celtic, including consecutive league title wins, and their Champions League performances have still been below par. This should be enough of a challenge to keep Rodgers around for the imminent future.
