Norwich City’s relegation was confirmed on Saturday afternoon as they lost 4-0 at home to West Ham United.
Michail Antonio bagged all four goals in the game, giving West Ham a vital away win whilst condemning Norwich to the Championship.
Just a year since winning the Championship title, the Canaries are heading back to the second tier, but they have been very careful.
Norwich didn’t splash the cash when they won promotion, instead placing their faith in boss Daniel Farke and a talented young squad.
They should be financially stable as a result, and that could be important in light of the global pandemic – though a number of players will be attracting interest.
Read Norwich reported last month that Leeds United have already made an enquiry about playmaker Emiliano Buendia. The Daily Mail added last weekend that Newcastle United have discussed making a move for defender Ben Godfrey.
Now, pundit Jamie Redknapp has predicted to the Daily Mail that there will be major interest in Buendia and Godfrey, though feels the latter may benefit from staying put.

Redknapp also thinks that Max Aarons and Todd Cantwell will be wanted, but if Norwich can keep them, they will be favourites to return to the top flight.
“Norwich couldn’t save themselves in Project Restart, so now it’s about Project Return,” said Redknapp. “But their young talent will attract interest. There’s full-back Max Aarons, 20, and midfielder Emi Buendia, 23. There’s Todd Cantwell, 22 (minus his new haircut). There’s Ben Godfrey, 22, who may benefit from a year in the Championship.”
“Depending on who they keep, they’ll be one of the favourites to return,” he added.
