Pundit Jamie Redknapp has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Norwich City looked more ready for the Premier League than Leeds United on Saturday.

Leeds played host to the Championship’s biggest game of the weekend and arguably of the season, as first faced second at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke’s Norwich were simply superb though, and were 2-0 up at half time as a deflected Mario Vrancic free kick and a Teemu Pukki tap-in had the Canaries flying high.

Vrancic added a third in the second half thanks to shaky goalkeeping from Kiko Casilla, though Patrick Bamford did pull one back in a 3-1 defeat for Leeds.

The result means that Norwich have now taken top spot in the Championship, and resigned Leeds to a fourth defeat in their last six league games.

The two clubs are sitting level on points at the top of the Championship table, and many are now having their say on who will clinch top spot this season.

Now, Jamie Redknapp has admitted that he was ‘seriously impressed’ with Norwich, adding that it was the best performance he’s seen from a Championship team this term.

Redknapp added another bold claim, stating that Norwich looked like a team made to play in the Premier League, implying that Leeds either aren’t quite as ready as Norwich, or may not be at all right now.

“I was seriously impressed by Norwich as they took Leeds apart on Saturday. It was the best performance I have seen in the Championship this season,” said Redknapp. “Daniel Farke’s side were well-organised, classy in possession and lethal in front of goal. Both sides are pushing for promotion but, of the two, it is Norwich who look the team made to play in the Premier League,” he added.
